Bus routs with cctv systems
Recent trends in urban planning have attempted to create design solutions
for social problems, from barrel shaped benches to deter rough sleepers
to the ubiquitous deployment of cctv systems. Unreality TV organize events
and performance that tactically subvert these technologies with often
creative, subversive and humorous results.
For Anarchitecture Week 2005 Unreality TV will be turning their attention to bus cctv systems. Many bus cctv systems have been installed on London buses with monitors which relay the images back in a panoptic system of the watched become the watches becoming the watched.
