In dataPHILE (Child 1) John presents a sound composition composed using a TeddyPhone to track and surveille his own children on a weekend trip to Morecombe bay. The sound composition combines location data read out by an anonymous computer generated voice combined with actual recordings of the children made using the covert listening function of the TeddyPhone.

The composition is presented on two 1940’s style public address speakers.
